A fire is visible southwest of Atomic City (labeled on the Hot Spot Map).
Southern California
The fires near Yosemite are still visible. Farther south the fire
near Castaic Lake State Recreation area appears larger when compared to the
channel 3 view from
last night. This blaze is called the Marple fire and was
set by a a San Fernando teenage as decribed in a
Los Angeles Times article (no longer online).
