Washington
Color composite image using channels 1, 2, and 3.
A fire scar from the fire near Wilbur is visible at about 47.6N and
-118.75W as a small dark blue patch. Compare to the channel 3 view
which shows the fire and to the Aug 23 view which was taken before
that fire.
Oregon
Color composite image using channels 1, 2, and 3.
Not much smoke is seen but numerous burn marks scar the state.
A detailed view of the Hell's Canyon area is visible on this mostly
clear image. The low morning sun brings out topographic details
which show well in the channel 2 view.
Idaho
Color composite image using channels 1, 2, and 3.
A possible fire scar of the fire near Lewiston might appear
on the northern image as the
small blue area just east of the western border where it starts to
deviate from it's due north/south direction.
The southern image shows the scar of the latest fire, it's is very apparent
when compared to a
daytime view from Aug 21.
The southern edge of this fire is bright in the NOAA 12
channel 3 evening view of Aug 31.
Wyoming

The Yellowstone fire is not very apparent, only a shgort trail of smoke
is seen in the color composite. The channel 3 view still shows a
bright area.
