Map of the pass
Channel 3 view of the data Black areas are clouds.

Wyoming

Clouds block some of the areas where fires were seen on the last pass, but several are visible on the channel 3 image. Several towns are labeled on the Hot Spot Finder Map and the Bighorn fire is seen to be west of Story, Wy. The fire to the southeast is between Douglas and Bill, Wy.

Yellowstone

A closeup of the Yellowstone area shows the position of the fire in southern Montana more precisely. It appears to be very near the small town of Alpine, MT. Clouds obscure the other fire areas in this view.

Southern California

The fires near Yosemite are barely visible just west of Mono Lake on this channel 3 image. The small fire farther south in the Sierras is seen as a tiny bright spot due west of Owens Lake.

Idaho

The fire in central Idaho is just barely visible. It may be located by refering to the last good view of it from Aug 31.
