red, green, and blue respectively.
Many features related to the geology of Iowa are apparent. Especially prominant is the dark black and blue area in the north central part of the state. This is an area of fresh glacial deposits within the Des Moines Lobe, as shown on the map of landforms regions. Invisible beneath the surface deposits is an interesting feature, the Manson Impact Structure (shown on the map of the Iowa bedrock), one of many impact structures in North America. |
