AVHRR Satellite images of the Flooding of the Red River of the North

This page brings together a number of previously scattered views of
this flood. Most of the images here are manually scaled to show
details of the flooding. A number of the captions discuss
what is visible in the images and what the colors mean, especially
the earlier links below. It is not possible to update these custom
views each day but the latest available AVHRR images of this area
are available below. I hope these images are useful.
