Sun glitter in East Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas
The central image below shows a view from NOAA-12 just before sunset.
The satellite was looking almost directly toward the setting
sun for this region as may be seen by viewing the pass map for that image.
The lakes reflect the setting sun and appear bright.
A band of clouds crosses the bottom of the first two images.
The daytime view in the first image shows urban areas in orange;
Dallas/Fort Worth is at about latitude 31.5 near the middle. Tulsa
and Oklahoma City are seen in Oklahoma, and Wichita in Kansas.
