We provide daily sea surface temperature images for a number of areaa including the Gulf Stream, the Chesapeake Bay and a region relevant to the CBLAST Experiment. Anticipating that users may wish to pick off exact pixel positions from the images and associate them with latitude and longitude, we provide the following information. Please remember that the maximum image resolution is 1 km. The satellite navigation elements can be off by as much as 10 km. However, using TeraScan Software from SeaSpace, the images are correlated with land masks to provide more precise navigation. Nonetheless, a several kilometer error may still remain. The political boundaries provide a clue to the remaining navigation error. The sea surface temperature images are stored in the GIF or PNG format. The figure below show the pixel indices for the entire image and the internal geographic area. The geographic area is linear in longitude and latitude.
