RESEARCH: Weather, climate, and environmental effects on ecosystems, disease, and public health; boundary-layer and micro-meteorology; environmental health; disaster preparedness and response; remote and in situ sensing; and atmospheric effects on electromagnetic propagation. Led team on discovery of open ocean hurricane-induced phytoplankton blooms.

- 1981-1983: University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science, Philadelphia, PA. MSE (Electrical Engineering & Science), 1983. 30 semester credit-hours, including 6 hours quantum mechanics, 6 hours mathematical methods of physics and 3 hours remote sensing.
