*** ASTRO-MART ***

ASTRO_MART is a product of The International Computer-Aided Telescope Society (ICATS). It is a forum to provide rapid distribution of, non-commerical, advertisemnts for Astronomy related items. This service is accessible to anyone with E-mail access to the InterNet and is provided free of charge as a service of ICATS.

The goal of ASTRO-MART is to provide rapid distribution of classified ads to the people who are interested in seeing what you have to sell. ASTRO-MART crosses system boundaries so you can reach huge audiences. You'll even reach audiences on systems that traditionally do not allow ASTRO classified advertisemnts, such as CompuServe(tm), and people who only have an E-mail gateway and no newsgroup access.

TO SUBSCRIBE (it's free!):

Send an E-mail message to: LISTSERV@NETCOM.COM In the message body type: SUBSCRIBE ASTRO_FS

That is it, nothing else is required. You'll now have those great ASTRO deals delivered right to your mail-box !!

Shortly after sending your 'Subscribe' message you will recieve an automated confirmation of your subscription.

TO POST AN ADVERTISEMENT (FORSALE or WANTED):

All advertisments are posted as E-mail messages. To post an ad, compose your advertisement in your editor. Use a descriptive title, and send the message to: ASTRO_FS@NETCOM.COM

It is good from to indicate the type of message your sending in the title, beginning FOR-SALE ads with FS and WANTED ads with WTB.

eg:     FS - 18" truss Dob on Poncet, mint
        FS - 80mm Unitron Binocs/tripod
        WTB- 8" SCT will consider any mfg
        WTB- Hyper-Tank for 120 film 

That is it .. your advertisement will be distributed world-wide to all subscribers.

ASTRO-MART is moderated to ensure that only advertisements are distributed. It keeps the quality of postings high. This means that your advertisement will return to you as *bounced*, but will be released to all subscribers shortly there after

NOTE: No business or dealer ads may be placed in Astro-Mart. This is a service for private party advertisements.
