This is a gallery of airports from the November 2, 1982 landsat 4 image of central Maryland and northern Virginia. This gallery is not complete but gives a representative example.
All airports are shown to the same scale, allowing them to be directly compared with each other.
Each image shows every pixel. The size and full image coordinates for the upper left corner are shown for each image. The full image coordinates range from 0 to 7167 in X and 0 to 5971 in Y where Y=0 is the top line in the full image.
Assuming square pixels, measurement on a map gives a pixel size of 28.5 meters, close to the stated 30 meter pixel size (this is from a careful measurement, but is not guaranteed for any significant purpose. Check this for yourself if you really need it). This is 35.09 pixels per km, and 56.47 pixels per mile.
