High-Resolution Remote Sensing Experiment (High-Res)
High-Res was an Accelerated Research Inititive (ARI) sponsored by
the Office of Naval Research. The general goal of
the High-Res program is to understand the physics
responsible for the radar imaging of mesoscale and submesoscale ocean
features, and to assess, through a comparison with in situ data, the
usefulness of remote sensing as a means for obtaining quantitative
measurements of the properties of these features.
